I would like this to be a place that is a easy place for people to come and see what is happening in our community. Today am am posting information from the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce. Thursday, April 16th - 3:00Ribbon Cutting at SAFE HAVEN IIThis is a program of Arundel House of Hope, located at 227 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Pastor Beal from Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church will perform a House Blessing and an Open House will follow until 6 p.m.
Friday, April 17 - 12:00 noon SUCCESSFUL WOMEN IN BUSINESS$5.00 fee - RSVP to 410-647-3900Elizabeth Smith of Transitional Sizes will share her inspirational story of how she created her new company and caught the eye of ABC TV's Mark Burnett of "Survivor" and "Apprentice" fame. This will be a great time for networking, checking out the fashions and jewelry, and sampling dessert!

In conjunction with our Earth Day event: Woods church is sponsoring a Shred-it truck to benefit SPAN and the Severna Park Community Center from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Woods.
St. John the Evangelist Parish is holding a community electronics recycling event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and they will take CPU's, computer monitors, scanners, computer mice, printers/fax machines, speakers/keyboards, stereo equipment/VCRs, microwave ovens and cell phones.

The Big Green Trail Day will be held on April 25th behind The Big Bean from 10 a.m.-noon. There will be earth friendly presentations, and great tastings! A ribbon cutting at noon will officially open the Green Terrace on the Trail!
The Severna Park Farmers Market will open on April 25th at 8 a.m. It is located at Ritchie Highway and Jones Station Road.
On Monday, April 20th at 7 p.m. at the Severna Park Community Center, there will be a free seminar "A Woman's Guide to Money Matters", hosted by Edward Jones Financial Advisor, Karen Steppler-Krieg. Call 410-544-1191.

Partners in Care will have an art and Vintage Sale on April 24th (10 to 7) and on the 25th from 10 to 4. Drop by Friday from 10-1 to get an appraisal from Paul Mintz of Arundel Antiques.
